Our Beautiful Boho Bell Tent Picnic at The Soul Nook Collective
“Mum …. is that tent for us? Can we go in?”
I looked at the bell tent longingly. It was beautifully boho styled in a manner I could never pull off. There were two cane chairs with floral cushions, a cream and gold woven rug underfoot, a dried floral centerpiece, various other embellishments and a scrumptious tray of goodies on the footstool.
To put it bluntly …. It was frikkin beautiful.
We were booked in for a picnic. But surely this isn’t it? PLEASE let this be it!
“Mum .. it has your NAME on it!”
Sure enough, right at the entrance of the tent is a mini chalkboard that read, ”Reserved for Jessica.”
YEESSSS!! I squealed inside my head … at least I hope it was inside my head … and then I started smirking.
”Hey you two … it has my name on it. But it doesn’t have your name on it”
Their little faces dropped. I almost felt guilty.
”Just kidding!” I laughed.
(Mum 1 – Kids 0)
Our beautiful bell tent picnic was just divine. The kids went a little wild after a hot chocolate but there was plenty of space for them to run around.
The Soul Nook Collective ….
These beautiful bell tent picnics are created by The Soul Nook Collective on the grounds of The Old Church in Marburg …. and there is lots of space for families.
Marburg is an utterly charming small town in rural Ipswich, less than an hour from Brisbane and perfect for a day trip or weekend getaway. I’ll be writing about Marburg soon so stay tuned!
The church itself is used as a retail space for beautiful boho fashion, giftware, accessories and lots more. There is even a fantastic little cafe at the back of the shop.
I feel like I need to say more about this but rather than bore you with my gushing over every single item in the shop, you really need to just come and see for yourself … and grab a coffee or hot chocolate while you’re at it.
Picnics are run on-site, Wednesdays through to Saturday on the church grounds and there is a package to suit all occasions and budgets. From a simple picnic rug under the trees to a full glam experience within the wonderful bell tents.
They’re not only great for families, but also for birthdays, girly days, romantic dates, special occasions, work functions or like us …. just a great memorable family experience.
The Soul Nook Collective isn’t JUST about pretty bell tent picnics though ….
The Soul Nook Collective isn’t just about pretty picnics though. Artisan workshops run regularly on creative pursuits such as floristry, painting, dot mandala art, crystal jewellery, plants, crowns, chocolate making and more.
We had enjoyed one of the great school holiday workshops for kids on The Old Church Grounds right before our bell tent picnic.
The remainder of the morning was spent sinking into the comfortable cushions on the cane chair of my special bell tent picnic and stuffing my face full of yummy biscuits, bliss balls, fruit, and cupcakes.
After taking one bite from everything on our picnic platter, the kids played chasey around the outside of the oversized tent, occasionally ducking inside to hide from each other and steal another bite.
It was pure bliss!
