Family Holiday Destinations is founded and edited by Jessica Palmer. Our stories draw on firsthand travel, careful research and the questions parents ask when planning a holiday: Is it worth the cost? Will the kids enjoy it? How much time do we need? What would we do differently next time?
You’ll find the highlights here, but also the details that help you make a decision. We cover everything from places to stay and things to do to, road trips, luxury holidays, camping, transport and the small logistics that can make a big difference when you’re travelling with children.
We also report on travel industry developments that matter to families and the people who help them travel.
Meet Jessica
Hi, I’m Jessica Palmer, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Family Holiday Destinations. I’m a travel writer, editor and mum of two, and I’ve learned that a great family holiday doesn’t have to look just one way.
My family is equally happy exploring somewhere new from a comfortable hotel or heading off on a camping trip. Now that the kids are a tween and a teen, the way we travel keeps changing too. That’s part of why I care about useful, honest travel stories: what suits one family, or one stage of family life, may be completely different for another.
