You’ll love Hoi An Beach Resort for a luxury stay in Hoi An
Looking for a luxury hotel in Hoi An, Vietnam? Then you’re going to love the Hoi An Beach Resort. Nestled between the De Vong River and Cua Dai Beach, the luxurious Hoi An Beach Resort is the perfect place to base yourself while you explore this amazing region of Vietnam.
“What would you like to drink?” I asked Ripley (aka Mr 3.5 years).
“Ummmm, pineapple juice!” he answered confidently. Usually, he is frustratingly picky about what he eats and drinks so this matter-of-fact answer gave me hope.
He played with a matchbox car on the table whilst we waited. His little sister, who was turning one year old on this very day, sat in a highchair provided by the restaurant at the luxury hotel we were staying at in Hoi An, the Hoi An Beach Resort. With a straw in one hand and a piece of garlic bread in the other, she was fairly content. Hubby and I sat back and watched the fisherman in their coracle-style boats on the De Vong river beside us.
The Pineapple juice came out. It had been freshly juiced and a piece of pineapple adorned the edge of the glass with one of those swivel-type straws. I took a long sip and declared it the best pineapple juice I’d ever had.
Pick eaters are hard work, right?
Mr 3.5 years looked at it horrified. I was starting to think I should have just bought one instead of two.
“What’s wrong, Mate? Don’t you like it?”
“No….it’s yuck!” he said matter of factly.
“Have you tried it?” I asked, trying not to sound annoyed.
“No. I can’t drink it. It’s yellow!” he declared. The same boy that specifically asked for Pineapple juice less than ten minutes ago.
Sigh. “Ok, I’ll have it,” I said, sliding it towards me. He kept the straw of course.
So, whilst at the age of three, Ripley didn’t appreciate a fresh, fancy pineapple juice from our luxury hotel and his little sister just liked the straw, us adults absolutely loved our experience at Hoi An Beach Resort in Vietnam.
It wasn’t so much the beautiful bathroom in our room or lounging in and around the pools, it was how wonderfully welcoming the staff were to everyone, including the kids.
When our waitress at breakfast found out Trillian was turning one, she obviously told someone, who told someone else, who then told someone else again. By the time we got home that afternoon, there was a beautiful bakery-style cake complete with edible flowers waiting on the bed with a lovely card for our daughter.
I mean, I know you would normally get great service at a luxury hotel, but Hoi An Beach Resort really make it personal and it was just so lovely.
It was these little touches and thoughtfulness that made staying here an absolute delight.
But just in case you’re not convinced, keep reading for the lowdown on the luxury Hoi An Beach Resort Hotel in Hoi An, Vietnam.
The rooms at Hoi An Beach Resort
We stayed in a superior room and were given a clean wooden cot for the kids. Even though it’s one of the cheapest rooms at this luxury hotel in Hoi An, it was still beautiful. As usual, they slept in our bed and we used the cot to store all of our stuff.
The room itself was not large, but it was decent-sized. It was very modern and had a nice little private balcony that looked out onto the garden area. All the mod-cons such as TV, internet, phone etc were included.
The big surprise was the bathroom! I can’t describe it as anything but ‘modern Vietnam’ and it really gave this Hoi An hotel a luxury feel. It had both a bath and shower and was surprisingly large. There was a pebble feature strip on the ground to disguise the drain, running parallel with the bath and shower and the vanity had a marble finish with one of those deep bowls for the sink.
Other accommodation options at the Hoi An Beach Resort include standard, deluxe, superior, grand deluxe and river view suites. River view suites are particularly luxurious and if were to come back, I would definitely book one of these.
Dining and drinks at Hoi An Beach Resort
There are no less than six onsite restaurants and bars. We ate at the River Breeze restaurant for all of our meals. The meals were of a high standard but it’s the luxury location that cinches the deal for me in this Hoi An hotel.
The restaurant overlooks the De Vong river so you can watch the fishermen go about their day. Enjoy watching the floating lanterns at night as they are lit along the river in front of the restaurant. It’s very pretty and it would have been incredibly romantic had we been there sans kids!
There was a mix of Vietnamese and Western dishes so we were always able to find something simple for our fussy eater.
Staff were amazing at this luxury Hoi An hotel
The staff went over and above to help us have a great time here and I think this is what really make it feel like a luxury hotel for us here in Hoi An. Nothing was too hard and they even hunted down my mobile phone that I left in a taxi. Of course, we can’t forget the cake they sneaked into our room for Trillian’s first birthday.
All of the staff spoke English and like most places in Vietnam, they treated the kids very well and welcomed them everywhere. One of the waitresses bordered on annoying with trying to get the kids’ attention when they were tired and just had enough. Although, this is not uncommon in Vietnam!
Other Facilities
The resort has two decent size swimming pools, other dining options and a luxury spa on site. Cua Dai beach fronts the side of the resort that the river is not.
Would I recommend Hoi An Beach Resort as a luxury hotel in Hoi An for families?
Yes, I would. Technically, Hoi An Beach Resort is a 4-star resort but the location, staff and lovely styling really give it a little something special. Children are welcomed with open arms here.
