Win AUD $500 for Sharing Your Wonderful Photos of Australia to The PicTrax App
First … a Little About PicTrax
PicTrax is a free app created by Australian woman Obelia McCormack, who after a trip to Tasmania where she became frustrated trying to find destinations that people had told her ”not to miss”, decided there had to be a better way.
Whether you travel in a group, on your own or with your family, you will inevitably be directed to known tourist locations or places your travel companions have already experienced … but with PicTrax, everyone will be able to explore like they have their own travel guide!
PicTrax is an easy to use IOS and Android app that allows you to:
- Earn money from your travel photos and advice … more info on this can be found here.
- Find destinations that you’d never normally find and get directions
- See what’s around when you get to your destination
- Show potential visitors reasons why they should visit remote areas
- Get helpful tips from previous visitors
- Explore the global interactive map for inspiration

- Promote micro-tourism destinations such as flower fields, painted silos and historic sites.
- Share travel discoveries that don’t have an address, like a sea cave or beautiful rock formations.
- The opening interface is set to ”surprise me”, but users can change this to ”near me” to find great places around them.
- ”Collect” images for future travel planning and when you’re ready to visit, tap the directions icon to get navigation details using Google Maps.
