Don’t Miss This Amazing Opportunity to Meet Thomas The Tank Engine and His Friends These School Holidays!
Everyone’s favourite train is back and you can see him for yourself at the Workshops Rail Museum!
Pssst… Tickets to meet Thomas would make a great Christmas gift. Details on how to purchase tickets are further down!
The Workshops Rail Museum is once again hosting Thomas the Tank Engine in the school holidays. From 27th December 2020 – 26th January 2021, Thomas will be joined by his friends The Fat Controller, Annie and Clarabel, Douglas, Trevor the Traction Engine and George the Steamroller.
There will be plenty of activities on offer including the Thomas Play Pit, colouring-in, craft and games as well as an opportunity to meet The Fat Controller.
See if you can find the miniature version of Thomas on the museum’s model railway while you’re there!
If the kids get a little tired (or the parents), families can relax and watch a Thomas movie in the theatrette before its full steam ahead again for more fun around the museum….
… and it really is fun!
We visited last school holidays and the kids had a blast in the various play zones which included a diesel train simulator, science centre and an indoor train-themed adventure playground.
During the special day out with Thomas, the whole family can expect to:
- Meet Thomas and The Fat Controller
- Dive into the Thomas Play Pit
- Become railway engineers in the track building area
- Get hands-on with a range of Thomas activities including craft, colouring in, and games
- Find the hidden Thomas trains on the huge model railway
- Take a break and watch a Thomas movie
- Let off steam in Nippers Railway, the indoor adventure playground
- Explore 15 larger-than-life exhibits including the Sciencentre, steam trains and train simulators
I … ahem, I mean my kids … LOVE Thomas. How do I get tickets?
Tickets can be booked online at theworkshops.ql.qld.gov.au but you’ll need to get in quick to avoid disappointment.
