You Need to Visit This Ultimate Bacon Festival in Kingaroy

The annual Kingaroy Bacon Festival is going to be more family-friendly than ever! Featuring new competitions for kids, a ”Little Piggies” entertainment area and much more.

Kids who love to dress up might like to enter the new Bacon Seeds Pageant, a free competition that celebrates dressing up and having fun. Make sure to capture the BaconFest spirit for extra points! (If your child is between 5 & 13 years of age and loves to dress up, enter here now as entry forms close 21st July.)

While kids will be excited about the new features just for them, parents can enjoy cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs! Miguel Maestre is headlining and you won’t want to miss the Dan and Steph cook-off. Join in the Wine and Swine dinner, Long Table Breakfast, BaconFest Pinup Pageant, local producers market, and live music. Of course, it wouldn’t be the Kingaroy Bacon Festival without a bacon-eating competition.

For those with younger kids, The Australian Breastfeeding Association, Kingaroy group, has got you covered. They will provide a quiet, sheltered space where parents can feed and change their babies or toddlers.

Celebrate The Importance of Buying 100% Australian Pork Products

The first bacon festival in Kingaroy was held in 2018, capturing Australia’s imagination with a festival that celebrates one of our nation’s favourite foods. BaconFest highlights the importance of buying 100% Australian pork products.

More than 15,000 people are expected to attend this year’s annual celebration, which will be held from August 20th to 22nd. After last year’s virtual event, the Kingaroy Bacon Festival can now be held in person and will be a Covid-safe event.

SunPork Fresh Foods are a major sponsor of the BaconFest in Kingaroy, contributing $35,000 to this year’s event. They are also providing meat for the Long Table breakfast and the Wine & Swine event, along with around 100kg of bacon.
