Gippsland

Complete guide to a fantastic holiday in Gippsland

A family holiday to Victoria’s Gippsland region is your opportunity to escape the city. Hit up sleepy seaside towns, nature-filled national parks and hinterland drives. We can’t forget about all the fun to be had in Victoria’s high country either.

Must like Victoria though, the Gippsland region is large and varied in weather and terrain. Choose from a beach holiday, snow trip or rainforest bliss. Alternatively, enjoy some of Victoria’s amazing national parks, including the iconic Wilsons Promontory.

High country adventures

For mountain adventures on your Gippsland holiday, head to Mount Baw Baw Alpine Resort in the Baw Baw National Park. It’s just as great in the green season with epic hiking and mountainbiking as it is in winter, when it’s covered in a layer of snow.

Close by on the Baw Baw Plateau in the Baw Baw National Park is Mount St Gwinear which also boasts both an epic green and winter season. Unlike Baw Baw Alpine Resort (which has more facilities), Mount St Gwinear is free to visit.
