Cook Islands Holiday

A Cook Islands holiday is amazing! But you’re probably wandering where it is, right? The Cook Islands are northeast of New Zealand in the South Pacific Ocean. They’re between French Polynesia and American Samoa (also beautiful destinations). Flights come in from Los Angeles, New Zealand, Tahiti and Australia.

The Cook Islands is where by law, no building can be taller than the largest coconut tree. Coconut trees grow like weeds and the beautiful beaches are for everyone, not just the people staying at resorts. There is jungle, waterfalls, adventure, relaxation and welcoming locals.

Did I mention there are no snakes? Yep, you can combine jungles and flip flops here and not worry one iota about being bitten by a snake.

Our Cook Islands holiday has been a highlight of our family travels worldwide!

Whilst not as visited as other well known South Pacific destinations, the Cook Islands are just as beautiful. I would go as far as to say they are the most welcoming. Be as relaxed or as energetic as you like here. We like to do both!

We visited not only Rarotonga and Aitutaki, but also the lesser-visited islands of Atiu and Mauke. These two smaller islands have fascinating coastlines and some really unique natural attractions to explore.  They were the absolute highlight of our trip, particularly the island of Mauke, where we all swung from the roots of the South Pacific’s largest Banyan tree.
