The Complete Guide to Aussie World on the Sunshine Coast for Families

You’ve come to the right place to learn more about Aussie World on the Sunshine Coast for families, including Aussie World rides and ticket prices!

We were recently invited to spend a day at Aussie World on the Sunshine Coast. Now, I’m not a huge theme park fan but I’ve wanted to check out Aussie World for a while. It’s not as big as the Gold Coast theme parks so I thought it might be a lot more enjoyable.

You know what? I was right. We all had a really great time, not just the kids. The smaller theme park meant less waiting time on rides and more time to just enjoy the place and each others company. Also, it was significantly cheaper than other theme parks we had been to, including the gift shop on the way out.

I would definitely bring the kids back here again!

Where is Aussie World?

Aussie World is on the Sunshine Coast just one kilometre north of the Caloundra exit on the Bruce Highway. There are signs announcing where to turn off so you can’t miss it. Also, it’s really hard not to notice the big ‘Banana Bender’ pub.

Eating at Aussie World on the Sunshine Coast

Unfortunately, you aren’t allowed to take your own food into Aussie World on the Sunshine Coast. However, there are some great places to get a meal!

Banana Bender Pub

The Banana Bender Pub is right next door and if you head out for lunch, you will be given a bracelet to allow you to come back into Aussie World afterwards. This place is oozing with character across three levels and is super family-friendly with kids meals and high chairs for little ones.

The meals are not budget but the quality is great so you don’t feel like you’re getting ripped. I ordered a chicken parmy but could only get through half of it. It was huge!

You can also visit the pub for a meal and play a round of mini golf for an extra $10 per person without actually visiting Aussie World.

Other Food Options

The Fun Cafe is located in the Aussie World grounds and has hotdogs, burgers, salads, wraps and sandwiches. When the heat hits, an ice-creamery with Ben and Jerry scoop and toppings has you covered.

The Village is just outside of Aussie World (you will need to ask for a pass to get back in) and features Beefy’s Pies, Smoochies handmade fudge and ice-cream and a dedicated lolly shop.

Gift Shop

The gift shop at Aussie World has some surprisingly affordable options. They have a massive selection of souveneirs and soft cuddly toys. We picked up two cute beany babies for the kids and some lollies for the drive home.
