Intrepid Travel has announced a major expansion of its family-focused offerings, unveiling 10 new tours for families. Set to launch in 2026, children’s pricing across its entire family range has been reduced.
The update comes as Intrepid reports a 15% rise in family bookings year-on-year, highlighting the ongoing boom in family adventure travel. With the new releases, Intrepid’s family portfolio will increase to 50 trips worldwide. These trips span four continents and cover everything from culture-rich city experiences to wildlife safaris and active outdoor adventures.
The company says the additional family tours are designed to make family travel more accessible, less stressful, and more enriching. It’s a win for parents seeking meaningful, guided trips without the planning load.
“Family travel is one of the largest and fastest-growing segments in the industry, and we’ve seen strong growth in our family trips over recent years. Too often, people think they have to wait until their kids leave home to properly travel again, but with over 50 dedicated tours and one of the most generous children’s pricing policies in the industry, we’re making it easier than ever for all types of families to explore the world together.
“One quarter of our family travellers are single parents, and we’re also seeing intergenerational travel becoming more popular. It’s exciting to see this category evolve and to design experiences for curious travellers of all ages. Our family adventures take the stress out of planning so families can simply show up ready to explore, connect and create lifelong memories together,” said Erica Kritikides, General Manager of Experiences at Intrepid Travel.

Lower pricing for kids in 2026
To make these family tours more accessible, children will now receive 20% off the full price of Intrepid family trips for all departures from 2026 onwards. Children can join trips from age five, with dedicated Teenager itineraries tailored to families with older kids aged 10–17.
This shift aligns with recent customer insights revealing that families prioritise value, learning, and shared memories when choosing a holiday.
