Seraphim Escape Rooms Deliver Kid-Approved Fantastic Family Fun

When we were invited to check out the family-friendly Seraphim escape rooms in Ipswich, we were all super excited!

But in case you have no clue what I’m talking about, an escape room is a puzzle, adventure game, where you go into a themed room and work together to find clues, solve puzzles, unlock various locks and other things and escape the room before your time runs out.

Also in case you’re wondering …. yes, it’s a tonne of fun, even with young kids!

Escape rooms are known for being scary and not really suitable for kids, but Seraphim Escape Rooms in Ipswich have created a family-friendly Santa themed room that is just perfect for younger kids who aren’t yet ready for horror themes. Although, if you have teenagers there is definitely some scarier rooms to try out!

Don’t worry … there’s a hint button!

Visitors have an hour to solve the puzzle and unlock the room at the Seraphim Escape Rooms. Press the big ”help me” button if you feel you can’t solve one of the clues and one of the staff will type you a hint, which will show up on a TV screen in the corner of the room.

We pressed it twice! Although, I felt silly afterwards because the answer was so obvious once we got the hint.

The kids threw themselves into the task enthusiastically and I thought it was great to see them working together. In fact, months afterwards, they are still saying the Seraphim Escape Rooms are their favourite thing to do in Ipswich.

Check out our post on other great things to do in Ipswich!

When we finally completed all the puzzles, a pop sound could be heard, followed by a handful of wrapped lollies that flew out of the faux chimney into the Santa themed room.

Verdict = Great family fun!

The Verdict

The Seraphim Escape Rooms were surprisingly fun! Although we only completed the family-friendly Santa’s Cottage room, I would love to try the other rooms either without the kids or when they are older.
